How We Use Artificial Intelligence in Your Journey With Us. At Rhodes & Co., we are committed to treating every professional with the same respect and transparency we extend to our clients. That includes being open about how we use technology — what it does, what it cannot do, how it affects your experience, and what rights you have throughout the process.

1. What Happens When You Register With Us

When you submit your profile or CV to Rhodes & Co. — whether directly, through a role application, or via introduction — your information is entered into RecruitIQ, our proprietary recruitment platform. This platform uses artificial intelligence to:

  • Read and extract information from your CV or resume
  • Build a structured profile covering your experience, skills, availability and career background
  • Generate a compatibility score when your profile is assessed against a specific role
  • Produce a written summary of your professional background for director review
  • Support communication workflows to ensure you receive timely updates throughout the process

2. How We Score Your Profile

When a role is being actively filled, your profile is assessed against two layers of criteria simultaneously.

Layer One — The Rhodes & Co. Standard. Transferable skills, career trajectory, professional development, soft skills, and real-world experience — the qualities that standard keyword-matching software consistently undervalues. A professional who has built capability through experience rather than credentials may score strongly here.

Layer Two — The Role Brief. Your profile is assessed against the specific requirements of the role — including the client's culture, the team dynamic, technical needs, and what success looks like in that particular organisation. Your score will vary from role to role. This is intentional — it reflects the specific fit, not your overall value as a professional.

3. What AI Scores Mean — and What They Do Not

  • A lower score does not mean you are not a strong professional. It means the data available at the time showed a lower alignment with a specific role. Our directors regularly identify and advocate for professionals whose profiles the AI has undervalued.
  • A high score does not guarantee progression. Professional judgement, client requirements and contextual factors all inform the recommendation we make.
  • Scores are role-specific. Your score for one position may be very different from your score for another — this reflects the nature of the role, not a reflection on you.
  • Scores can change. As your profile is updated with new experience, skills or context, your assessments will reflect that updated information.

4. Your Rights

These rights apply from the moment you register with Rhodes & Co. You do not need to request them — they are active by default. To exercise any right, use the Contact pathway so Rhodes & Co. can direct your request appropriately.

  • Right to request a human review. If you believe an AI assessment has unfairly screened you out, you may request that a Rhodes & Co. director personally reviews your profile against the role criteria. This request will be actioned within 48 hours.
  • Right to opt out of automated assessment. If you do not wish your profile to be assessed by AI, you may request a human-only evaluation. We will review your profile manually against active roles. Note that this may affect the speed with which we can identify suitable opportunities.
  • Right to request an explanation. You may ask us to explain why your profile received a particular score for a specific role — including which criteria contributed most significantly to the assessment.
  • Right to correct your information. If you believe information in your RecruitIQ profile is inaccurate, you may request a correction at any time. Corrections are made within 48 hours of the request.
  • Right to withdraw consent. You may withdraw consent for us to represent you at any time. Your profile will be moved to inactive status and you will not be contacted about roles.
  • Right to deletion. You may request that your profile and all associated data be deleted from our systems at any time. Deletion is completed within 7 days of the request and confirmed to you in writing.
  • Right to access your data. You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, including your AI assessment history for any role. This is provided within 14 days of the request.

5. Your Data and How We Use It

We collect the information you provide — your CV, contact details, employment history, skills, availability, salary expectations, work rights, and any additional information you share with us. Your information is used solely for the purpose of identifying and facilitating employment opportunities on your behalf. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except where necessary to present your profile to a client — and only with your knowledge.

We retain your profile in our talent ecosystem for as long as you remain an active professional or until you ask us to remove it. Profiles with no contact activity for 24 months are reviewed — we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to remain in the ecosystem before any data is archived.

6. Limitation of Liability

Rhodes & Co. uses artificial intelligence to support — not replace — professional recruitment practice. We do not warrant that AI-generated assessments will predict your performance in any role. Employment outcomes depend on many factors beyond the scope of any assessment tool, including interview performance, organisational change, and circumstances that cannot be anticipated at the time of assessment.

Rhodes & Co. does not charge candidates for our services. Our fee is paid by the client organisation on successful placement. You will never be asked to pay for representation, assessment, or any other service provided by Rhodes & Co.
